One of the best things about online dating is the titilating possibility that you might be on a date with a serial killer...said no one ever. Which is why Laura and Spencer consider themselves very lucky to have made a mutual friend of Anna O'Brien, who ultimately brought the two together at a "Christian Retreat" birthday party that all involved thoroughly enjoyed. Laura was immediately blown away by Spencer's ability to innately understand the needs of everyone in the room, and his propensity to lend a hand wherever he could. Chivalry, apparently, was alive and well in Spencer Homich. He immediately noticed that she was kind, quick to laugh, looked good in red dresses, and could drink his best friend under the table. Unsurprisingly, he proceeded to ask her to dinner - to a Mexican restaurant, which to be honest was probably the first sign for her that he was "The One". From there, a mutual love of culinary pursuits, family traditions, embarrassing Japanese video games, and rainy December days brought the two together for the long haul. They couldn't be more excited to get married where they got engaged - in the beautiful Kona, Hawaii.
