Uber
Uber has made it to the Big Island! Uber is available almost everywhere *except to & from Kona International Airport*. We also recommend splitting fares with family & friends since you will likely be going to and from similar places. We recommend using Kona Airport Taxi (see below) to help you get to and from the airport.
Car Rental
Once you land into Kona International Airport, the car rental shuttle will be making rounds right outside of the baggage claim. Hop on the shuttle where it will take you to all of the popular rentals: Thrifty, Enterprise, Alamo, Avis, Hertz, etc.When you land at Kailua-Kona, we suggest you go directly to Costco if you have an extended stay (andif your car can handle the luggage and Costco groceries).

Our ceremony and reception are about 30 miles apart, so we will be providing air conditioned shuttles to transport you between the two! Sit back and enjoy the view as you travel along the coast. Note that the shuttles will leave at 12:45pm sharp from right outside the Mauna Kea Hotel Lobby. The buses will arrive back at the Mauna Kea Hotel immediately following the ceremony - Cocktail Hour will begin when you arrive (about 4pm).
TIP: Take an Uber to the Mauna Kea Hotel (so that you don't need to worry about driving home later) and grab brunch before you go. Just make sure to keep an eye on the time!
